Lured to the Edge
In this painting, a girl reaches over a dock toward a stylized figure holding a mysterious, enticing box. However, she doesn't see the angler fish lurking
beneath the water, eager to lure in its next victim.

Through this piece, I aim to address our attraction to consumer goods and how aesthetic branding can serve as a facade, concealing a less appealing reality. This hidden reality includes the waste these products generate and the disparity between their finite usefulness and their long-lasting impact on our planet.

Despite knowing what lies beneath the surface, we allow ourselves to be deceived by this facade. This notion prompts us to question the psychology behind our actions and our collective mindset as a society.
