Distracted Chaos

I continue to explore the idea of a distracted state of being, specifically this gullible state brought on by daily routine. The small stylized figures in the painting act as modes of “good” and “evil” as one mischievously overflows the bowl with milk, while the other tries to get the attention of the main figure who is occupied with her own agenda.

In "Modern DIstractions" the stylized figure is seen on a billboard, urging the notion that consumption brings pure joy and satisfaction. This character and its symbolic nature continue to be reflected in other paintings.
