El Sueño Americano

The Sueño Americano explores the deep yearning for a better life, a dream that drives immigrants from Latin America to Asia to cross borders in search of the American dream. However, instead of finding the promised opportunities, many end up on buses to larger cities that unfortunately lack the resources to help them get on their feet.

Through this painting, I aimed to capture the allure and elusiveness of the American dream, transforming it into a tangible yet unattainable object. The figure on the ground looks up at this dream—a key that paradoxically requires its own key to unlock.
